On this page, we want to introduce the cats
to you that have been a part of our breeding-program but don't live with us
anymore for different reasons. It doesn't make any sense to spend a lot of money
buying a breeding cat (mostly from abroad in our case) and to have it neutered
after a short time - if we make such a decision, we have severe reasons for it. We think that honesty is very important which
also means to be honest regarding the neutered breeding cats that we couldn't
keep as reasonable breeders. Of course, these cats move to a good and loving new
homes and will always have their place
in our gallery and will never be removed from there without a comment (which
seems to be quite common for some other breeders) - in our view, they absolutely
deserve to have their place in our gallery. We are thankful to each of our
former cats for the some precious time we spent together.
GIC (D) Melody av plysj -
born on 02.04.1996 - blue-classic-tabby
Melody
was our first Breeding-Queen and will always have a place in our
hearts as a very special cat - she had three litters in our cattery
and from her first litter we kept her daughter Geeny, who layed the
foundations of our breeding program. Unfortunately, Melody - being a
very dominant cat - couldn't put up with seeing her daughter Geeny
becoming fertile and as a consequence, she attacked her more and
more. When Melody decided to be aggressive towards all cats in our
home, we decided with a heavy heart to find a new home for her. She lived as a happy neuter with Carmen
until she had to be put to sleep - at almost 13 years old - to
release her from the pain that the cancer gave her. We are very sad
about this loss, but on the other hand happy that she didn't have to
suffer.
GEC (D) Banjo's kleines
Nordlicht Indiana Jones - born on 29.10.1998 -
black-silver-spotted-tabby/white (PKD negative)
Indiana Jones - or
Indi as we used to call him - was our first breeding male and we were so
lucky with him because he has never sprayed so that we could keep him in
our flat together with the other cats. He has given us some very
beautiful kittens before he had to be neutered due to his hormones
driving him crazy and as a consequence, he was after his daughter
Malleea all the time to mate her even though she wasn't in heat at all
:-( As a neuter, Indi discovered his addiction to food, especially
kitten-food which forced us to make a decision for him to preserve his
health and wellbeing: We rehomed him together with his biggest love
Brittany who also felt like eating all day long. Unfortunately, we have
lost contact to them so we can only hope that they are doing fine.
EC (D) Brittany av Randsfjord -
born on 11.02.2000 - black-classic-tabby (PKD negative)
Brittany
was the answer to my dream of a cat in black-classic-tabby. But
unfortunately, things don't always go the way we want them to: Brittany
needed the assistance of a vet for each delivery of kittens that she had
(she had three litters) - so when she needed her second c-section, we
decided to have her neutered with this surgery. After being neutered,
she developed - just like her big love Indi - an addiction to food in
all variations so that we decided to rehome her together with her big
love Indi. Unfortunately, we have lost contact to them so we can only
hope that they are doing fine.
GIC (D) Shirina von der
Waldwiese - born on 10.09.2000 - blue-tortie/white (PKD negative)
Shirina was our darling, but on the other hand, she could be a very
complicated character. As she got older, she developed to be more and
more eccentric and solitary so she withdrew from us and our other cats.
She delivered her two litters without any problems and turned out to be
an over-protective mother who attacked each cat that dared to peak into
her nursing box :-( For her third litter, we took Shirina to
different male for an outside mating - and she felt at home there from
the very first moment on so that we gave in and didn't want to be in the
way for her to be happy - so we let her stay there and be happy (to the
joy and happiness of Manuela and Eva) ... :-)
GIC S*Restless Kendra - born on
04.08.2002 - black-silver-classic-torbie
With Kendra,
we fulfilled our dream of having a cat in siver-torbie from interesting
lines directly from Scandinavia. After some difficulties in the
beginning, she finally became a part of our family. Kendra is a very
sweet, irresistible and talkative cat and it is very difficult not to
love her because of these fantastic traits of her character :-) In spite
of her strong boning she didn't grow up to be a big cat - but we hoped
that the size of her ancestors would become visible in her kittens.
Unfortunately, she showed some heavy deficits in her instincts when she
had her first litter so that this was her last one at the same time. As
her kittens turned out to be rather small as well, we are convinced that
we made the right decision to have her neutered after her first litter.
Kendra now lives as a happy neuter with our friends Anja and Harry.
Ch. F*Vittel de Stang ar Voud -
born on 25.08.2004 - black-classic-tabby/white
For a
long time, we had amired the cats from the Cattery F*Stang ar Voud and
were so proud when we finally could introduce a young female from this
cattery to our cats as our new family member. Unfortunately, Vittel
turned out to be very shy - most likely due to a lack of socialisation.
She didn't have any problems with other cats, but even more problems
with us humans in general :-( Vittel is a stunning beauty to us but it
didn't seem to be meant for her and us... She got one litter and was
neutered after this litter and we found a good new home for her with
people who understand her situation and have all the time and patience
that it takes for her to trust people and finally feel the desire to
reach out for them. And fortunately, this seems to work by now... :-)
She lives with our friends Heidi and Michael and is happy there with
them and their other cats.
EC D*Eressea's Tar-Miriel -
born on 27.06.2003 - black-mackerel-torbie (HCM negative - tested by Dr.
Kresken)
Miriel is a very strongly built girl with an adorable expression and
lots of fur of a fantastic quality - we were so proud to have her with
us. She has given us three wonderful litters before we had to have her
neutered due to the fact that she did not show any interest in her last
kittens for reasons that only she knows herself. But we got the hint
from her and acted accordingly although we honestly regretted this
decision as we would have loved to keep her a lot longer in our breeding
program!
For this reason, MIriel
moved to Southern Germany - together with her best friend
Varinia - and enjoys her life roaming
free. Since summer 2009, she is missed and we honestely hope that she
will show up again!
GEC (S) Chacolís Durnik - born
on 05.11.2003 - black-smoke/white (HCM negative - tested by Dr. Kresken)
We have never seen a male like Durnik - he is unbelievably sweet and
gentle. In addition to this, he is for sure one of the best examples of
his breed that we have seen so far. He has sired seven wonderful litters
in our cattery before he had to be neutered - much to our regret - due
to ongoing problems with his bladder. He will have to be on a special diet
for the rest of his life which made it impossible for us to let him be
together with our other cats because he liked their food a lot more than
his own... This is why we decided with a very heavy heart to find him a
new home where he will be able to walk around freely again - and we have
found it with Annika and her family. It was very hard for us
to let him go - but especially when you love you should be able to let
go. We know that Durnik has a wonderful and loving new home and we can
visit him whenever we want to. We want to thank our dear friend Katarina
for this very special boy!

EC P*Sahara Zyriab * 07.01.2005 /
black-mackerel-torbie (HCM negative - tested by Dr.
Kresken)
(GSD IV normal - Laboklin 08/2007)
Sahara is a wonderful sunray who is able to charme almost everyone with her
friendly and outgoing temperament. Unfortunately, she showed a big lack of
mother instincts also in her second litter which made us decide to retire her
from breeding after this litter. We have to accept it as a matter of fact that
not all female cats are born to be breeding females... :-(
Sahara now lives as a happy neuter with her two sons Zoran and Zazou and our friend Melanie and enjoys her life there.
EC Booran Duma Wikinga*PL *01.12.2006 - black-classic-tabby / white (HCM negative - tested by Dr. Kresken)
(GSD IV normal - Laboklin 08/2007)
Booran is one of the biggest NFO males we have seen so far
with an amazingly strong boning combined with an excellent NFO type. He had the
tendency to be rather dominant with our other cats which made it impossible for
us to let him be together with them without us watching over them. For this
reason, he was neutered when he started spraying because we didn't want him to
be in a separate room for too long.
Booran now lives as a happy neuter with our friends Rainer
and Marion and their other cats. They have more than enough space inside the
house and two huge outdoor runs for the cats. We are really happy for him to be
in such a cat-paradise now and know that he will have a wonderful life there.
IC (N) Zorbas Ornella * 25.10.2007 / black-mackerel-torbie
/ white
(GSD IV normal - Laboklin 10/2008)
We imported Ornella directly from Norway because
of her very interesting pedigree. We have always been in love with her
wonderful and bright colours. Unfortunately, she has not developed
according to our expectations (and to the standard) so that we decided
to retire her from our breeding program and to find her a loving new
home as she didn't get along with our other cats that well.
Ornella now lives a life as a princess with Dagmar, Sascha and
Melina and we couldn't be happier for her.
Ch.
S*Sherwoodskogens Utah *09.10.2008 - black-mackerel-tabby / white
(GSD IV normal - Laboklin 05/2009)
It was one of my biggest dreams to get a male kitten from
the last litter of one of the most handsome NFO males ever (at least in my view):
EC S*Heaven Hill's Big Bang that he had sired at almost 15 years old.
And with the help of
Erik ("Bangen's" owner), I finally managed to convince Utah's breeders to let me have this
special boy.
Unfortunately, Utah did not develop according to our
expectations and for some very severe reasons, we decided to have him neutered
at a very early age which was very disappointing for us. Utah now lives as a happy neuter with our friends Rainer
and Marion and their other cats. They have more than enough space inside the
house and two huge outdoor runs for the cats. We are really happy for him to be
in such a paradise now and know that he will have a wonderful life there.
I want to thank Erik for his help and
for an unforgettable time at the polar circle. For me, it was the most wonderful
experience to be able to hold my dream-male EC S*Heaven Hills Big Bang in my
arms. Thank you so much! Unfortunately, this male of my dreams "Bangen" went
over the Rainbow Bridge in November 2009 - at the age of 16 years. Together with
Erik, we mourn for this wonderful and special male.
